Fully remodeled in 2023, Lemon Drop Cottage is a Lake-Front property, with direct access to Lake Erie. Built in 1949 as a fishing cottage, we were fortunate to rescue some decorative ornaments that date to that era, and have been careful to retain much of the original rustic appeal and aura.The lake is viewable from both the Kitchen and Bedroom windows. Updates for March 2023 include new windows throughout, a fully remodeled bathroom, and a new 12K AC. Hickory and Maple hardwood floors replaced the originals, of the same species. New hot water heater, oven, kitchen table/chairs, a king-size mattress in the bedroom, and a twin-size sofa-bed in the living room. BBQ grill (propane provided), and fire pit with wood provided are on the private brick patio.
Lemon Drop Cottage is the perfect couples getaway, quiet & romantic, sitting on 1.6 acres, with the waters edge over 400ft from the road. Private and adorably decorated, the cottage is stocked like a tiny house, with all new amenities.The cottage is cleaned thoroughly after each and every guest, with all new towels, bed sheets, and pillowcases. A perfect getaway for a weekend, or those precious few days you can get away and relax. A stairwell with handrails takes you directly down to the water, where were sometimes you can find a few precious feet of beach. Several fire pits are situated within a few feet of the lake, each with Adirondack chairs so you can enjoy a fire, and perhaps even a glass of wine as you watch freighters out in the distance, sailboats, and of course the many beautiful sunsets, no two of which are exactly the same.
Guests can call or text anytime for reservations, assistance, or recommendations.
The property is located directly on the Lake Erie waterfront, on 1.6 acres of land, only 12 minutes from Geneva on the Lake, and close to dozens of wineries (10 to 15 minutes away). The neighborhood is full of summer cottages, and many beautiful beachfront properties.

Summary: Perfect location for relaxing girls trip. Had coffee sitting by the lake, morning hikes at nearby parks then visit the wineries. Hosts were friendly and offered suggestions for places to visit. Cute cottage decor!

Summary: It was the cutest cottage, very clean and up to date. The weather didn’t cooperate so we couldn’t enjoy certain things we had wanted too. Not their fault. The view is beautiful and plenty to do around there even in the rain.

Summary: Dan and Brenda are wonderful hosts! They shared recommendations for local restaurants and were very responsive in answering my questions, in advance of our stay. The LemonDrop is thoughtfully appointed with all the amenities you could want during your stay. We especially enjoyed the sunsets by the cozy fire for roasting marshmallows, lakeside. Firewood and lighter were all provided as are the Adirondack chairs on the lake front. The LemonDrop also has its own patio with a fire pit and cafe table and chairs for sipping coffee (Coffee maker and mugs are all also provided). Can't wait to visit again!

Summary: Great location and wonderful host! Cute touches including a bottle of wine and toiletry items. Wonderful view of lake, space to have a fire with free wood and prime location. Check out the "mansion" winery near by. We look forward to going back!

Summary: This was our 1st time staying at the Lemon drop properties! We stayed in the lemon drop cottage and it was Perfect! Cozy, Clean and had everything you would need for weekend away. We can’t wait to come back. Dan and his Wife are the most amazing hosts and have thought of everything and are so thoughtful. I’m already looking at dates for our next getaway. We can’t wait!!!

Summary: Was a wonderful weekend away! The cottage was perfect and so cute. They thought of everything. Was a great location for the local wineries but away from the hustle and bustle of the main tourist area. Having the water front so close was really neat. We enjoyed the sunsets!
